Charles Babbage
Charles Babbage, FRS a fost un polymath englez. El a fost un matematician, filozof, inventator și inginer mecanic, care este cel mai bine amintit acum că a inițiat conceptul de calculator programabil. Considerat un "tată al calculatorului", Babbage este creditat cu inventarea primului computer mecanic care a dus în cele din urmă la proiecte mai complexe.
