Carabină
O carabină, din carabina franceză, este un braț lung, dar cu un baril mai scurt decât o pușcă sau muschet. Multe carabine sunt versiuni scurtate ale puștilor cu lungime totală, împușcând aceeași muniție, spre deosebire de modelele de sine stătătoare, cu muniție cu putere mai mică. Dimensiunile mai mici și greutatea mai ușoară a carabinelor le fac mai ușor de manevrat.
