Scorțișoară este un condiment obținut din coaja interioară a mai multor copaci din genul Cinnamomum, care este folosit atât în mâncărurile dulci, cât și în alimentele savuroase. În timp ce Cinnamomum verum este uneori considerat a fi "adevărata scorțișoară", cea mai mare scorțișoară din comerțul internațional este derivată din speciile conexe, care sunt denumite și "cassia", pentru a le distinge de "adevărata scorțișoară".
