Districtul Kodagu
Kodagu, cunoscut și sub numele de Coorg, este un district administrativ din Karnataka, India. Acesta ocupă o suprafață de 4.102 kilometri pătrați în vestul Ghats din sud-vestul Karnataka. În 2001, populația sa era de 548.561, dintre care 13,74% locuiau în centrele urbane ale districtului, făcându-l cel mai puțin populat din cele 30 de cartiere din Karnataka. Kodagu este bine cunoscut în lume pentru cafea și "războinicii curajoși". Madikeri este sediul Kodagu. Districtul este mărginit de cartierul Dakshina Kannada spre nord-vest, cartierul Hassan spre nord, cartierul Mysore spre est, cartierul Kannur din Kerala spre sud-vest și cartierul Wayanad din Kerala spre sud. Kodagu este locuința vorbitorilor nativi ai limbii Kodava. Kodavasul nativ, care acum formează doar o cincime din populația totală a Kodagu, deoarece majoritatea s-au mutat în orașe, precum Bangalore și Mysore și chiar și în străinătate, în țări precum America de Nord, sunt totuși cel mai mare grup din Kodagu.
