O notă opt sau un răscroior este o notă muzicală jucată pentru o optime durata notei întregi, de unde și numele. Comentariile opt sunt notate cu un cap oval, completat și cu o notă dreaptă, cu un steguleț. Un simbol asociat este a opta odihnă, care denotă o tăcere pentru aceeași durată. În unicode, simbolurile U + 266A și U + 266B sunt o notă opt și respectiv o pereche de note opt. Prima este moștenită de la începutul anilor 1980, codul paginii 437, unde are codul 13. Ca și în cazul tuturor notelor cu tulpini, regula generală este că notele opt sunt desenate cu tulpini la dreapta capului de note, cu fața în sus, când sunt sub linia de mijloc a personalului muzical. Când se află pe sau deasupra liniei medii, ele sunt trase cu tulpini în partea stângă a capului notei, cu fața în jos. Alternativ, tulpinile sunt folosite pentru a indica voce sau părți; toate tulpinile pentru notele superioare ale vocii sunt trase cu fața în sus, indiferent de poziția lor asupra personalului. În mod similar, tulpinile pentru notele următoare din partea inferioară sunt orientate în jos. Acest lucru face vocile / piesele clare pentru jucator si cantareata.
