Galvanizare
Galvanizarea este un proces care utilizează curent electric pentru a reduce cationii metalici dizolvați, astfel încât să formeze o acoperire metalică coerentă pe un electrod. Termenul este, de asemenea, utilizat pentru oxidarea electrică a anionilor pe un substrat solid, ca și în formarea de clorură de argint pe sârmă de argint pentru a produce electrozi de argint / clorură de argint. Galvanizarea este folosită în primul rând pentru a schimba proprietățile suprafeței unui obiect, dar poate fi de asemenea folosită pentru a construi grosimea pe părțile subdimensionate sau pentru a forma obiecte prin electroformare.
