Prelungirile sau timpul suplimentar reprezintă o perioadă suplimentară de joc specificată în cadrul regulilor unui sport pentru a aduce un joc la o decizie și pentru a evita declararea meciului ca o egalitate sau egalitate în care scorurile sunt identice. În majoritatea sporturilor, această perioadă suplimentară se joacă numai dacă jocul trebuie să aibă un câștigător clar, ca și în turneele cu eliminare unică în care numai o echipă sau un jucător pe meci poate avansa în runda următoare.
