Fricțiunea este forța care rezistă mișcării relative a suprafețelor solide, a straturilor de fluid și a elementelor de material care alunecă unul împotriva celuilalt. Există mai multe tipuri de frecare: ▪ Frecarea uscată rezistă mișcării laterale relative a două suprafețe solide în contact.
