Haarlem (pronunția în limba olandeză: (ascultă), cunoscut anterior ca Harlem în limba engleză) este un oraș și o municipalitate din Olanda. Este capitala provinciei Olanda de Nord și este situată la marginea de nord a Randstad, una dintre cele mai populate zone metropolitane din Europa. Haarlem a avut o populație de 155.205 de locuitori în 2014. Haarlem a primit statutul de oraș sau stadsrechten în 1245, deși primele ziduri ale orașului nu au fost construite până în 1270. Orașul modern cuprinde fostul municipiu Schoten, precum și părți care anterior aparțineau Bloemendaal și Heemstede . În afară de oraș, municipalitatea Haarlem include și partea de vest a satului Spaarndam. Secțiunile mai noi din Spaarndam se află în municipalitatea vecină Haarlemmerliede en Spaarnwoude.
