Moralitatea este diferențierea intențiilor, a deciziilor și a acțiunilor între cei care sunt "buni" și cei "răi". Moralitatea poate fi un ansamblu de standarde sau principii derivate dintr-un cod de conduită dintr-o anumită filosofie, religie, cultură etc., sau poate deriva dintr-un standard pe care o persoană îl consideră universal. Moralitatea poate fi, de asemenea, sinonimă cu "bunătatea" sau "dreptatea". Imoralitatea este opoziția activă față de moralitate, în timp ce amoralitatea este definită în mod diferit ca o lipsă de conștiință, de indiferență față de sau de neîncredere în orice set de standarde sau principii morale.
