Indore (i / ɪndɔər /, Hindi: "इंदौर") este un oraș de nivel 2, cel mai mare oraș din statul indian Madhya Pradesh. Acesta servește drept sediu al Indore District și al Diviziei Indore. Un oraș central de putere, Indore exercită un impact semnificativ asupra comerțului, finanțelor, media, artei, modă, cercetării, tehnologiei, educației și divertismentului și a fost descris ca fiind capitala comercială a statului. Situat pe marginea sudică a Platoului Malwa, orașul se află la 190 km vest de capitala statului Bhopal. Având o populație estimată pentru 2011, de 2,167,447, distribuită pe o suprafață de doar 526 km2, Indore este orașul dens populat din provincia centrală. Populația Zonei Metropolitane Indore este cea mai mare a statului, cu 2,2 milioane de locuitori. Este al 14-lea cel mai mare oraș din India și al 147-lea cel mai mare oraș din lume. Indore își are rădăcinile până în secolul al XVI-lea, întemeindu-se ca un centru comercial între Deccan și Delhi. Orașul și împrejurimile sale au venit sub Maratha Empire la 18 mai 1724 după ce Maratha Peshwa și-a asumat controlul deplin asupra Malwa.
