CE ÎNSEAMNĂ KAABA ÎN ENGLEZĂ?
Kaaba
Kaaba sau Ka'aba, cunoscută și sub numele de Casa Sacră și Casa Antică, este o clădire cuboidă în centrul celei mai sacre moschei a islamului, Al-Masjid al-Haram, în Mecca, Arabia Saudită. Este cel mai sacru punct din această moschee cea mai sfântă, făcându-l cea mai sacră locație din Islam. Oriunde se află în lume, se așteaptă ca musulmanii să se confrunte cu Kaaba - adică atunci când se află în afara Mecca, spre Mecca - atunci când efectuează salat. Al-Masjid al-Haram a fost construit în jurul Kaabei. Din orice punct al lumii, direcția cu care se confruntă Kaaba este numită Qibla. Atâta timp cât sunt capabili să facă acest lucru, unul dintre cei cinci piloni ai islamului cere ca fiecare musulman să efectueze pelerinajul Hajj cel puțin o dată în viața sa.
