Libia, în mod oficial statul Libia, este o țară din regiunea Maghreb din Africa de Nord limitată de Marea Mediterană la nord, Egipt la est, Sudan la sud-est, Chad și Niger la sud, iar Algeria și Tunisia Vestul. Un război civil și intervenția militară condusă de NATO în 2011 au dus la înlăturarea și decesul fostului lider al țării, Muammar Gaddafi, și prăbușirea celei de-a 42-a ani a lui "Revoluția lui Al Fateh" din 1 septembrie și a 34 de ani Statul Jamahiriya.
