O nomogramă, denumită și o nomogramă, o diagramă de aliniere sau un abac, este un dispozitiv de calcul grafic, o diagramă bidimensională concepută pentru a permite calcularea grafică aproximativă a unei funcții. Domeniul nomografiei a fost inventat în 1884 de către inginerul francez Philbert Maurice d'Ocagne și a folosit mult timp pentru a oferi inginerilor calcule grafice rapide ale formulelor complicate la o precizie practică. Nomogramele utilizează un sistem de coordonate paralel inventat de d'Ocagne, mai degrabă decât coordonatele carteziene standard. O nomogramă constă dintr-un set de n scale, unul pentru fiecare variabilă într-o ecuație. Cunoscând valorile variabilelor n-1, valoarea variabilei necunoscute poate fi găsită sau prin fixarea valorilor unor variabile, se poate studia relația dintre cele nefixate. Rezultatul este obținut prin stabilirea unui straightedge peste valorile cunoscute de pe scale și prin citirea valorii necunoscute de unde trece intersecția pentru acea variabilă. Linia virtuală sau trasată creată de straightedge se numește linie de index sau isopleth.

Definiția nomogramei în dicționar este un aranjament al a două scale lineare sau logaritmice, astfel încât o linie dreaptă care intersectează să permită citirea unor valori intermediare sau valori pe o a treia scală. O altă definiție a nomogramei este orice reprezentare grafică a relațiilor numerice.
