În știința politică, nonpartisanismul este o lipsă de afiliere față de un partid politic. Unele organizații care pretind a fi nepartizane sunt cu adevărat asemenea; altele, în special în SUA, sunt în mod nominal nepartizane, dar de fapt urmăresc îndeaproape politicile unui partid politic.
