Oyez este o intervenție tradițională, care a spus de două sau de trei ori succesiv introducerea deschiderii unei instanțe judecătorești, în special în Marea Britanie. Interjecția este, de asemenea, folosită în mod tradițional de către criminali pentru a atrage atenția publicului asupra proclamațiilor publice.
