Prusik
Un Prusik / prʌsɪk / este un frecat sau nod de frecare folosit pentru a pune o buclă de cablu în jurul unei frânghii, aplicată în alpinism, canionare, alpinism, speologie, salvare de frânghie și arboriști. Termenul Prusik este un nume pentru ambele bucle de cordon și cârlig, iar verbul este "prusik". Mai întâi, termenul este folosit pentru orice dispozitiv de frecare sau dispozitiv care poate prinde o frânghie. Cuvântul este adesea greșit interpretat ca Prusik, Prusic sau Prusic, deoarece este un omofon cu termenul de acid prusic. Crasa din Prusik este numită pentru presupusul său inventator, alpinistul austriac Karl Prusik. A fost arătat într-un manual de alpinism din 1931 pentru ascensiunea frânghiei.
