Superlativ
În gramatică, superlativul este forma unui adverb sau a unui adjectiv care exprimă un grad de adverb sau adjectiv folosit, care este mai mare decât oricare alt grad posibil al descriptorului dat. Superlativele englezești sunt formate, de obicei, cu sufixul - cel mai mare cuvânt. O preposition, aproape, are și o formă superlativă, ca și în Găsiți restaurantul cel mai apropiat de casă.
Definiția superlative în dicționarul Engleză
Prima definiție a superlativului din dicționar este de o calitate excepțională, de grad, etc; suprem. O altă definiție a superlativului este excesivă; exagerat. Superlativul este, de asemenea, un lucru care excelează pe toate celelalte sau este de cea mai înaltă calitate.
