Albrecht von Wallenstein
Albrecht Wenzel Eusebius von Wallenstein (24 octombrie 1583 - 25 februarie 1634), de asemenea von Waldstein, a fost un lider militar boem și politician care și-a oferit serviciile și o armată de 30.000 la 100.000 de oameni în timpul Războiului de Treizeci de ani (1618-48), împăratului Sfântului Roman Ferdinand al II-lea. Câteva victorii protestante asupra armatelor catolice l-au determinat pe Ferdinand să-i reamintească pe Wallenstein, care a transformat din nou războiul în favoarea cauzei imperiale. Nemulțumit de tratamentul imparatului față de el, Wallenstein se gândea să se alipească cu protestanții. Cu toate acestea, a fost asasinat la Cheb în Boemia de către un oficial al armatei, Walter Devereux, cu aprobarea împăratului.
