PENDENCY SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
Asma köprü
Bir askı köprüsü, güvertenin askı kablolarının altına dikey asma통lerin üzerine asıldığı bir köprü türüdür. 15. yüzyılda bu tip köprülerin ilk örneklerinin yapıldığı Tibet ve Butan dışında, bu köprü 19. yüzyılın başlarından kalmış. Dikey askıları olmayan köprüler dünyanın birçok dağlık bölgesinde uzun bir tarihe sahiptir. Bu köprü tipi kablolar, kuleler arasında askıya alınmış kabloların yanı sıra, trafiğin üzerinden geçen güvertenin ağırlığını taşıyan dikey askı kablolarına sahiptir. Bu düzenleme, güverte seviyesinin artırılmasına veya ek açıklık için yukarı doğru yuvarlanmasına izin verir. Diğer süspansiyon köprü tipleri gibi, bu tip sıklıkla bozulma olmadan yapılır. Süspansiyon kabloları, köprü her iki ucuna sabitlenmelidir, çünkü köprüye uygulanan yükler bu ana kablolarda bir gerilime dönüştürülür. Ana kablolar, direklerin ötesine geçerek güverte seviyesinde olan desteklere kadar devam eder ve yerdeki çapalar ile bağlantılara devam eder.
