Altern
Alterung oder Alterung ist die Anhäufung von Veränderungen in einer Person im Laufe der Zeit. Das Altern am Menschen bezieht sich auf einen multidimensionalen Prozess des physischen, psychologischen und sozialen Wandels. Einige Dimensionen des Alterns wachsen und erweitern sich im Laufe der Zeit, während andere abnehmen. Es können Unterscheidungen zwischen "universellem Altern" und "probabilistischen Alterung" gemacht werden. Chronologische Alterung kann auch von "sozialem Altern" und "biologischem Altern" unterschieden werden. Es gibt auch einen Unterschied zwischen "proximalem Altern" und "distal ageing".
