Analogie
Analogie ist ein kognitiver Prozess der Übertragung von Information oder Bedeutung von einem bestimmten Subjekt zu einem anderen bestimmten Subjekt oder einem sprachlichen Ausdruck, der einem solchen Prozess entspricht. Im engeren Sinne ist Analogie eine Schlußfolgerung oder ein Argument von einem Besonderen zu einem anderen Besonderen, im Gegensatz zu Deduktion, Induktion und Entführung, wo mindestens eine der Prämissen oder die Schlussfolgerung allgemein ist. Das Wort Analogie kann sich auch auf die Beziehung zwischen der Quelle und dem Ziel selbst beziehen, was oft, wenn auch nicht notwendigerweise, eine Ähnlichkeit ist, wie in der biologischen Vorstellung von Analogie. Niels Bohrs Modell des Atoms machte eine Analogie zwischen dem Atom und dem Sonnensystem. Analogie spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Problemlösung wie Entscheidungsfindung, Wahrnehmung, Gedächtnis, Kreativität, Emotion, Erklärung und Kommunikation. Es liegt hinter grundlegenden Aufgaben wie der Identifikation von Orten, Objekten und Menschen, zum Beispiel in Gesichts-Wahrnehmung und Gesichtserkennung Systeme. Es wurde argumentiert, dass Analogie "der Kern der Kognition" ist.
