Jute
Jute ist eine lange, weiche, glänzende Gemüsefaser, die in grobe, starke Fäden gesponnen werden kann. Es wird aus Pflanzen in der Gattung Corchorus produziert, die einst mit der Familie Tiliaceae, vor kurzem mit Malvaceae, klassifiziert wurde und nun in die Familie Sparrmanniaceae umgegliedert wurde. "Jute" ist der Name der Pflanze oder Faser, die verwendet wird, um Sackleinen, Hessian oder Gunny Tuch zu machen. Jute ist eine der erschwinglichsten Naturfasern und ist an zweiter Stelle nur Baumwolle in der Menge produziert und die Vielfalt der Verwendungen von pflanzlichen Fasern. Jutefasern bestehen hauptsächlich aus den Pflanzenmaterialien Cellulose und Lignin. Es fällt in die Bastfaser-Kategorie zusammen mit Kenaf, Industrie Hanf, Flachs, Ramie, etc. Der industrielle Begriff für Jute-Faser ist roh Jute. Die Fasern sind weißlich bis braun und 1-4 Meter lang. Jute wird auch "die goldene Faser" für seine Farbe und hohen Cash-Wert.
