poet
Poet is a specifically German word formation for the author of poetry in the sense of linguistic and literary art. The poet, who dominates the entire range of lyric poetry, from short stories and tales to drama and theater, and thus influences the language and society, as was the case, for example, in classical literature around 1800, is an ideal presentation in which Reality but rare exception. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the term used to be the opposite of the poet, who from then on stood for the sarcastic lover of verses, the "Kauz", which did not find any attention to the modern market. Opposite him was the "poet" the author of high literature, stylized in the emphases of storm and impulse, of romanticism and nationalism of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, as seer, genius, and, in the most striking case, spiritual leader of the nation.
