Mutterpass
A maternal passport is given to an expectant mother in Germany from an official determination of a pregnancy by the responsible female doctor or the supervising midwife. In these, until the birth of the child, all relevant data on the health of the mother, Eg blood group, iron content in the blood, examination results for inherited and infectious diseases, to the condition of the child, Eg position, weight, size, etc., and the expected birth date. Even after birth, some important facts about the child, the week's bed, and the follow-up of the mother, 6-8 weeks after birth, are recorded in the mother's passport. In emergencies, this pass can be used to react more quickly and appropriately. It is therefore recommended by the Professional Association of Women's Physicians that pregnant women always carry the mother's passport during their pregnancy. The passport also provides important information for a new pregnancy. In the event of a loss, a new passport must be applied to the female physician or the midwife, in which all the data collected so far by the women's physicians have been registered and stored.
