A loop is a thin band of flexible material, typically of thread or cloth but also plastic or sometimes metal, used primarily for tying and fixing. Fabric ties, which commonly include silk, are often used in connection with the dress, but innumerable useful, ornamental and symbolic purposes can also be found. Different cultures around the world use this device as an ornament for their hair, around the body, or even as ornament in animals, buildings, and other areas. The loop is also sometimes used as a package sealer, along with twine. Along with the fringes, tapes and other complements, the manufacture of fabric ties has a special department in the textile industries. The essential feature of a loop loom is that of simultaneously weaving in a loom frame two or more fabrics, reaching up to forty narrow fabrics on modern looms. Un lazo es una banda fina de material flexible, típicamente de hilo o tela pero también plástico o a veces metal, usado sobre todo para atar y fijar. Los lazos de tela, que comúnmente incluye la seda, se utilizan a menudo en conexión con el vestido, pero también se pueden encontrar innumerables propósitos útiles, ornamentales y simbólicos. Las diferentes culturas alrededor del mundo utilizan este dispositivo como adorno para su pelo, alrededor del cuerpo, o incluso como ornamento en animales, edificios, y otras áreas. El lazo también se utiliza a veces como sellador de paquetes, junto con bramante. Junto con los flecos, cintas y otros complementos, la fabricación de los lazos de tela tiene un departamento especial en las industrias textiles. La característica esencial de un telar de lazo es el de tejer simultáneamente en un marco de telar dos o más telas, llegando hasta cuarenta telas estrechas en los telares modernos.
