Deep cystic colitis is a rare disease of the rectum and sigmoid colon of a young man. Histologically, there is a cyst that stores mucus in submucosal tissue. The cause of the cyst is unknown, but there is a theory that the inflammation such as congenital and dysentery and ulcerative colitis is followed. Symptoms include mild diarrhea, tene sulmus, and occasionally the attachment of mucus or blood to the sides. Because it is a submucosal lesion, it is difficult to diagnose it as an intestinal contrast. Endoscopic biopsy is indispensable but sometimes it is difficult to distinguish it from mucinous adenocarcinoma. Surgical modality is performed when the symptoms are severe or when the cysts are large and the symptoms are obstructive. 심부낭포성대장염 젊은이의 직장, S상결장에 발생하는 드믄 질환이다. 조직학적으로 점막하조직에 점액을 저류(貯留)한 낭포가 보인다. 낭포의 원인은 불명이나, 선천설과 적리(赤痢)나 궤양성대장염 등의 염증이 따르는 후천설이 있다. 증상은 중정도의 설사, 테네스무스로 때로는 변에 점액이나 혈액의 부착을 보는 일이 있다. 점막하의 병변(病變)이기 때문에 주장조영(注腸造影)으로 진단하는 것은 곤란하며, 내시경적 생검이 필수이나 때때로 점액생성성샘암(粘液生產性腺癌)과의 감별이 곤란하다. 증상이 심한 경우나 낭포가 거대하여 폐색증상이 있을 때에는 외과적절제가 행하여진다.
