WHAT DOES AMFIBIA MEAN IN MALAY?
Amphibia
Amphibians are ectothermic, tetrapod vertebrates of amphibian classes. They inhabit many habitats with most species living on land, fossorial, arboreal or freshwater aquatic ecosystems. Amphibians usually begin as live larvae in the water, but some species have developed behavioral adjustments to circumvent these. The youngest generally undergo metamorphosis from larvae with gills to the adult breathing-shaped form with lungs. Amphibians use the skin as a secondary respiratory surface and some salamander and frogs lack lung and rely entirely on the skin. They once looked similar to reptiles but, along with mammals and birds, reptiles are amniotes and do not require bodies of water to reproduce. With their reproductive and reproductive complexes, amphibians are often ecological guides and in recent decades there has been a dramatic decline in amphibian populations for many species worldwide. Amphibians belong to living things, animal groups, have a backbone.
