Rum (wine)

Rum (arak)

Rum is a distilled beverage made from sugar cane by products, such as molases and cane juice, through fermentation and distillation processes. Its distilled liquid is then fermented, usually in oak barrels. While there are rum producers in places like Australia, India, and Reunion Island, most rums are produced in the Caribbean and its surroundings, along the Demerara River in South America. Some of the major rum brands include Bacardi, Rum Bambu, Barbancourt, Brugal, Captain Morgan, Appleton Estate, Havana Club, Stroh, Matusalem, Mount Gay, Bundaberg, Myers, Rum Malibu, Rum Gosling, Cruzan, Pusser, Flor de Caña, Don Q, Coruba, Old Monk, Sailor Jerry, and Ron Zacapa Centenario. "Overproof" rums, such as Wray and Nephew, contain higher alcohol content. Rum is produced with a variety of styles. Light roms are commonly used for mixed drinks, while golden and dark roms are ideal for cooking as well as cocktails. Premium rum brands are also available and drunk or ice-hard. Sebilangan jenama rum yang utama termasuk Bacardi, Rum Bambu, Barbancourt, Brugal, Kapten Morgan, Estet Appleton, Kelab Havana, Stroh, Matusalem, Mount Gay, Bundaberg, Myers, Rum Malibu, Rum Gosling, Cruzan, Pusser, Flor de Caña, Don Q, Coruba, Old Monk, Sailor Jerry, dan Ron Zacapa Centenario.
