spintronics
Spintronics is a kind of electronics. Whereas, in conventional data-driven media, changes in current flow, spintronics take into account also the spin of an electron. In conventional electronic systems, the active element is generally an electron charge, although in some cases the spin of an electron plays a role as a source of ferromagnetism, yet the role is secondary. Spintronics creates new prospects for the emergence of electronic components with the planned spin structure. The spintron of an electron spin is an active element equal to its electric charge. In the broader sense spintronics also includes the field of quantum computer science and problems related to quantum computing using spins electrons. Spintronics is a new branch of the so-called. mesoscopic electronics, which has emerged relatively recently and is at an early stage of its development.
