Myrmekochoria, antipathy - spreading of plant seeds by ants, one of the types of zoo. Some species of plants have developed special adaptations to this, such as their seeds are equipped with special appendages. Elayosomes that the ants eat or lose during transport to the anthill. This phenomenon is a specific example of mutualism. In some climatic regions, it plays a significant role, for example up to 30% of plants in the South African plant fynbos spread in this way. Approximately 150 species of European plants have elayosomes, thanks to which the seeds can be transported by ants up to a distance of up to 20-70 meters. Myrmekochoria, mrówkosiewność – roznoszenie nasion roślin przez mrówki, jeden z rodzajów zoochorii. Niektóre gatunki roślin wykształciły specjalne przystosowania do tego, np. ich nasiona zaopatrzone są w specjalne wyrostki zw. elajosomami, które mrówki zjadają lub gubią w trakcie transportu do mrowiska. Zjawisko to jest specyficznym przykładem mutualizmu. W niektórych regionach klimatycznych odgrywa znaczącą rolę, np. nawet do 30% roślin w południowoafrykańskiej formacji roślinnej fynbos rozsiewa się w ten sposób. Około 150 gatunków europejskich roślin posiada elajosomy, dzięki którym nasiona mogą być transportowane przez mrówki na odległość nawet do 20–70 metrów.
