Mamata

Mamata is according to the Vedanta philosophical school one of the two handcuffs of the handcuff that ties the hands of the individual soul to samsara, or cycle of births and deaths. As long as there is the notion of aham, or "I," "ego," there will be the notion of mamata, or "this is mine," "it is related to me," which function as handcuffs tying the being to the material world. are destroyed with the emergence of vidya, the spiritual knowledge that leads to moksha.
