Argument
Argumentation in the general sense is the process of substantiating a person's position in order to convince him of its truthfulness, expediency. Substantiation can be done in different ways: ▪ Provisions can be justified by direct reference to reality. This method is often used in natural sciences; ▪ The justification can be accomplished through already well-known provisions, due to the construction of certain considerations. In this case, the person also turns to reality in a certain way, but not directly, but indirectly. This method is predominantly characteristic of the humanities.
