Deprivation of political rights
The deprivation of political rights is an additional penalty provided for in the Criminal Code of the People's Republic of China, as set out in section VII of Chapter III of the Penal Code, which may be implemented separately or in conjunction with another principal sentence (such as death penalty, imprisonment, etc.). It is allegedly intended to limit the right of the offender to participate in State administration and political activities. Deprivation of political rights can be divided into two periods of life and life. Article 34: The types of additional penalties are as follows: (1) fines; (2) deprivation of political rights; (3) confiscation of property; and (4) deportation of the territory of the People's Republic of China. Additional penalties can also be applied independently.
