Didache
El Didache o La Enseñanza de los Doce Apóstoles es un breve tratado cristiano temprano, fechado por la mayoría de los eruditos a finales del siglo I o II. La primera línea de este tratado es "Enseñanza del Señor a los gentiles por los Doce Apóstoles". El texto, partes de las cuales constituyen el catecismo escrito más antiguo, tiene tres secciones principales que tratan de la ética cristiana, rituales como el bautismo y la Eucaristía Organización de la iglesia. Se considera el primer ejemplo del género de las Ordenes de la Iglesia. La obra fue considerada por algunos de los Padres de la Iglesia como parte del Nuevo Testamento, pero rechazada como falsa o no canónica por otros, eventualmente no aceptada en el canon del Nuevo Testamento. La iglesia ortodoxa etíope "canon más amplio" incluye la Didascalia, una obra que se basa en el Didache. Perdido durante siglos, un manuscrito griego del Didache fue redescubierto en 1873 por Philotheos Bryennios, Metropolita de Nicomedia en el Codex Hierosolymitanus. Una versión latina de los primeros cinco capítulos fue descubierta en 1900 por J. Schlecht.
