Predación

En ecología, la depredación es una interacción biológica donde un depredador se alimenta de su presa. Los depredadores pueden o no matar a sus presas antes de alimentarse de ellas, pero el acto de depredación a menudo resulta en la muerte de su presa y la eventual absorción del tejido de la presa a través del consumo. Otras categorías de consumo son la herbivoria, micofagia y detritivory, el consumo de materia orgánica muerta.
