Parang
Según Dewan Bahasa, Parang se define como un gran cuchillo malayo. Parang es una herramienta como un cuchillo que se origina en el sudeste de Asia, especialmente en el archipiélago. Se usa para cortar madera más dura, con ojos más duros y un centro de golpe muy por delante del tallo. Sus ojos también son más oscuros para no quedar en pedazos. El ojo es generalmente de 30 centímetros de largo y la masa no es más de 0,75 kilogramos. Los ojos curvos permiten el máximo consumo de energía cuando se cortan troncos, luego se observan los ojos antes del pulgar para proteger los nudillos. Tiene tres ojos, el ojo frontal es muy filoso y se usa para pelar, ojo medio más ancho y se usa para podar, y un ojo trasero muy delicado y se usa para tallar. La longitud de la cuchilla es de entre 10 y 24 pulgadas. Si la cuchilla es corta de 10 pulgadas, la herramienta se llama Cuchillo. Más de 24 pulgadas se llaman Espadas.
