Bobsleigh
Bobsleigh ou le bobsleigh est un sport d'hiver dans lequel des équipes de deux ou quatre font des chronométrages sur des pistes étroites, tordues, inclinées, glacées dans un traîneau par gravité. Les cycles chronométrés sont combinés pour calculer le score final. Les différents types de traîneaux sont arrivés plusieurs années avant que les premières voies aient été construites à St. Moritz, en Suisse, où les bobsleds d'origine ont été adaptés à des traîneaux de luge / skeleton sur mesure conçus par les aventuriers riches pour transporter des passagers. Les trois types ont été adaptés de la livraison de garçons à des traîneaux et des toboggans. La concurrence a été suivie naturellement, et pour protéger la classe ouvrière et les visiteurs riches dans les rues et les allées de St Moritz, le bobsledding a finalement été exclu de la voie publique. Au cours de l'hiver 1903/1904, la famille Badrutt, propriétaire de l'hôtel historique Kulm et l'Hôtel Palace, a permis à Emil Thoma d'organiser la construction de la première piste "half-pipe" familièrement configurée dans le Kulm Hotel Park, se terminant par le village De Cresta. Il a accueilli le sport lors de deux Jeux olympiques et est toujours utilisé aujourd'hui.
