La bataille de Borodino, combattu le 7 septembre 1812, fut la plus grande et la plus sanglante action d'une journée de l'invasion française de la Russie et des guerres napoléoniennes, impliquant plus de 250 000 soldats et ayant entraîné au moins 70 000 victimes.
