Disjonction logique
Dans la logique et les mathématiques, ou est un opérateur fonctionnel de la vérité, également appelé disjonction et alternance. Le connecteur logique qui représente cet opérateur est également appelé "ou", et généralement écrit comme ou. L'opérateur "ou" produit un résultat de vrai chaque fois qu'un ou plusieurs de ses opérandes sont vrais. Par exemple, dans ce contexte, "A ou B" est vrai si A est vrai, ou si B est vrai, ou si A et B sont vrais. En grammaire, ou est une conjonction de coordination. Un opérande d'une disjonction est appelé un disjoncteur. L'opérateur "ou" diffère de l'exclusivité ou en ce que celui-ci retourne faux lorsque ses deux entrées sont vraies, tandis que "ou" renvoie vrai. Dans le langage ordinaire, en dehors des contextes tels que la logique formelle, les mathématiques et la programmation, "ou" a parfois la signification de "exclusif ou".
