Une certaine théorie néoclassique souligne une exploitation non fondée sur le pouvoir du marché. ▪ Exploitation structurelle ou «macro-niveau»: se concentre sur l'exploitation par de larges couches de la société, même dans le contexte des marchés libres. La théorie marxiste montre à l'ensemble de la classe capitaliste en tant qu'entité exploitante, et au capitalisme comme système basé sur l'exploitation.
