Malnutrition
La malnutrition est la condition qui résulte de la consommation d'un régime alimentaire dans lequel certains nutriments manquent, en excès ou dans de mauvaises proportions. [1] [2] La forme verbale est "malnutrition"; «Malnutrition» est parfois utilisé à la place de la «malnutrition». Un certain nombre de troubles nutritionnels différents peuvent survenir, en fonction des nutriments sous ou trop abondants dans le régime alimentaire. Dans la plupart des pays du monde, la malnutrition est présente sous forme de sous-nutrition, causée par un régime qui manque de calories et de protéines [3] [4] - pas assez de nourriture et de mauvaise qualité. La malnutrition extrême est la famine, et ses symptômes et ses effets sont inanition. Bien que la malnutrition soit plus fréquente dans les pays moins développés, elle est également présente dans les pays industrialisés. Dans les pays riches, il est plus susceptible d'être causé par des régimes malsains avec des excès d'énergie, des graisses et des glucides raffinés. Une tendance croissante à l'obésité est maintenant une préoccupation majeure en matière de santé publique dans les niveaux socioéconomiques inférieurs et dans les pays en développement aussi. [5] L'Organisation mondiale de la santé a déclaré que la faim et la malnutrition connexe constituaient la plus grande menace unique pour la santé publique mondiale.
