Une ceinture de rayonnement de Van Allen est l'une des au moins deux couches de particules chargées énergiquement qui sont maintenues en place autour de la planète Terre par le champ magnétique de la planète. Les ceintures s'étendent d'une altitude d'environ 1000 à 60 000 kilomètres au-dessus de la surface dans laquelle les niveaux de rayonnement de la région varient.
