Faiblesse
Le poisson faible, Cynoscion regalis, est un poisson marin de la famille des tambours Sciaenidae. Un gros poisson marin mince, il se trouve le long de la côte est de l'Amérique du Nord. La tête et le dos de ce poisson sont de couleur brun foncé avec une teinte verdâtre. Les côtés ont une faible teinte argentée avec des taches sombres, et le ventre est blanc. L'origine de son nom est basée sur la faiblesse des muscles de la bouche, ce qui provoque souvent un crochet à déchirure, permettant au poisson de s'échapper. Le poisson faible atteint 1 m de longueur et 9 kg de poids. Il se trouve le long de la côte est de l'Amérique du Nord, de la Nouvelle-Écosse, du Canada au nord de la Floride, où il est pêché commercialement et à loisir. Les faiblesses sont également connues sous le nom de "Indien Indien" Squeteague. Dans les États du milieu de l'Atlantique, le poisson est parfois désigné par le nom de truite de mer, bien qu'il ne soit pas lié aux poissons appelés «Truites», qui sont dans la famille des Salmonidés. Le poisson faible est le poisson d'état du Delaware.
