Tabun - Dénomination commerciale de l'éthyl diméthylamidocyanidophosphate, un composé chimique organophosphoré principalement utilisé comme agent d'empoisonnement à la warfarine de la série G. Selon la résolution 687 de l'ONU, il a été classé comme une arme de destruction massive. Sa production est strictement contrôlée et stockée interdite par la Convention sur les armes chimiques. Tabun est également connu comme gelan, trylon-83 et GA. L'AG a été utilisée par les Allemands pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. G était court pour un groupe d'agents paralytiques-convulsifs, y compris le sarin, le soman et le cyclosarin. La caractéristique commune de tous les agents G poison est leur couleur brune et le fait qu'ils sont des liquides facilement volatils à température ambiante. Zgodnie z rezolucją ONZ nr 687 został zaklasyfikowany jako broń masowego rażenia. Jego produkcja jest pod ścisłą kontrolą, a składowanie zakazane w myśl Konwencji o zakazie broni chemicznej. Tabun znany jest także jako gelan, trylon-83 oraz GA. Oznaczenie GA było stosowane przez Niemców w czasie II wojny światowej. G – było skrótem grupy środków paralityczno-drgawkowych do których zaliczano m.in: sarin, soman i cyklosarin. Wspólną cechą wszystkich bojowych środków trujących z grupy G jest ich brązowa barwa oraz to, że są one w temperaturze pokojowej łatwo lotnymi cieczami. Tabun po rozproszeniu go w formie aerozolu w powietrzu, np. z samolotu, opada szybko na dół, a powstające opary "ścielą" się, zalegając w zagłębieniach w ziemi. Wdychany poraża szybko układ nerwowy człowieka, co objawia się najpierw gwałtownymi drgawkami całego ciała i prowadzić może do zgonu. Stężenie śmiertelne wynosi dla ludzi 150 mg/m3.
