CHE SIGNIFICA EXOSPORE IN TEDESCO
Exospore
Poiché l'esospore o l'ectospore è chiamata forma speciale delle spore, un mezzo per la propagazione di batteri o funghi. Sono causati dalla congestione terminale delle cellule figlia e non possiedono una busta di spore, a differenza degli endospori. Nel caso di strutture sferiche a pareti spesse, che derivano dalla cellula batterica allungata, vegetativa, vengono chiamate cisti. Entrambi gli esospori e le cisti sono forme permanenti in singole specie batteriche. A causa del loro metabolismo quasi completo e del basso contenuto di acqua, gli esospori sono più resistenti alla disidratazione, al calore, alla radiazione e allo stress chimico rispetto alla cellula vegetativa. Questo è vero solo per le cisti perché non sono resistenti al calore. Un agente formante esospore è ad esempio il Methylosinus del metano-utilizing genus Methylosinus, mentre le cisti possono verificarsi nei generi batterici Azotobacter e Metilocystis.
