CHE SIGNIFICA APPOSITION IN INGLESE
Apposizione
L'apposizione è una costruzione grammaticale in cui due elementi, normalmente frasi di sostantivo, sono disposti fianco a fianco, con un elemento che serve a definire o modificare l'altro. Quando si utilizza questo dispositivo, si dice che i due elementi siano in apposizione. Ad esempio, nella frase "il mio amico Alice", il nome "Alice" è in apposizione di "mio amico". Tradizionalmente, apposizioni sono state chiamate dal loro appositio latino nome, anche se la forma inglese è ora più comunemente utilizzata. È derivato dal latino: annuncio e positio. L'apposizione è una figura del discorso del tipo di schema, e spesso risulta quando i verbi nelle clausole di supporto vengono eliminati per produrre frasi descrittive più corte. Ciò li rende spesso funzionanti come iperbatoni o figure di disordine, perché possono interrompere il flusso di una frase. Ad esempio, nella frase: "Mia moglie, un'infermiera allenando ...", è necessario fermarsi prima della modifica parentetica "un'infermiera allenando".
