La penisola araba, conosciuta anche come Arabia, è una penisola dell'Asia occidentale situata a nord-est dell'Africa. L'area è una parte importante del continente asiatico e svolge un ruolo geopolitico critico del Medio Oriente e del mondo arabo a causa delle sue vaste riserve di petrolio e gas naturale. Hejaz e Najd costituiscono la maggior parte della moderna Arabia Saudita. L'Arabia meridionale consiste nella Repubblica moderna di Yemen e in alcune parti dell'Arabia Saudita e Oman. L'Arabia orientale consiste di tutta la fascia costiera del lato arabo del Golfo Persico.
