Nella linguistica, la perifrasione è un dispositivo attraverso il quale il significato grammaticalo è espresso da uno o più morfemi liberi, anziché da affetti o derivazioni inflessive. Le forme perifrastiche sono analitiche, mentre l'assenza di perifrasione è una caratteristica della sintesi.
