Paenungulata è un taxon che raggruppa tre ordini esistenti di mammiferi: Proboscidea, Sirenia e Hyracoidea. Almeno due altri ordini sono conosciuti solo come fossili, vale a dire Embritopoda e Desmostylia. Ognuno di questi ordini estinti era unico nel suo modo di membro come gli ordini sopravvissuti.
